Simple and powerful news syndication

Cyndicate is a desktop RSS reader with a clever name and a few original features. From the left side of the interface, you can choose to folder or RSS link views.

The application lets you create smart folders to better store your links and you can set filters from the preferences menu to manage different topics.

Cyndicate gives you a myriad of tools to play around with your feeds. Add ratings to them, flag them or manage them with labels. The program also allows you to share them on the biggest social networking sites like del.

icio. us or Digg. To post to your blog, all you have to do is select your blog editor from the preferences menu and then click the "Blog this" item from the article itself or the program menu to post it.

Cyndicate offers a clear, typical RSS reader interface, from which you can manage and read all your feeds. However the number of features it offers to organize your tags makes it certainly one of the best desktop RSS readers of the moment.

Great Features, Too Unstable, No Support. This RSS feed program is the only one I've found which allows me to move my stories into folders for different topics/purposes. However, this is overshadowed by the fact that it crashes once or twice a day, usually when loading a video, and takes my whole mac down with it. The company doesn't respond to support inquiries, lists no phone number, and has broken blog and forum sections on their website. Pros: the option to create folders and move stories into them Cons: fix bug that crashes the whole ODrespond to support inquiries

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
